Frequently Asked Questions

What types of positions are available?

Our clients engage us with positions ranging from the executive and manager level, as well as mid-level in the following areas: technology, finance & accounting and human resources.

How long are the contracts offered with Talent Infusion?

Generally, we offer contracts that range from three months, up to twelve months. In most circumstances, the contracts are renewable. Some are for specific projects and others will be ongoing, long-term positions.

Are you able to guarantee that Talent Infusion will find me a position?

We will do our best to assist you in every way possible but occasionally we are unable to find a suitable position for some candidates. Often it is a combination of timing and market conditions.

I’m eager to start working ASAP, how long will this process take?

Our consultants work with a great sense of urgency; occasionally we can successfully conclude a contract for you within a few business days, other times weeks or even longer are necessary. We will keep you informed and greatly appreciate your understanding in this regard.

Who are Talent Infusion’s clients?

With few exceptions, they are foreign-capital companies. We partner with large and small companies, across diverse industries including technology, consulting, banking, insurance, consumer and others. Many are Fortune 500 multi-nationals; others are innovative, smaller firms. They all share a common need for talented individuals to add immediate value to their operations to enable them to turn strategy into action.

Please explain the meaning of a “right-to-hire” or “temp-to-perm” contract?

These terms are interchangeable. The contract will be a maximum of six months in length. During the contract period, there is the option (NOT obligation) of converting to a permanent role at the client company, based on mutual consent. You will have had the opportunity to demonstrate your talent and value to the company. This first-hand experience will give you confidence regarding your decision and career. Talent Infusion will support and advise you along the way regarding the conditions of your offer.

Are you able to assist people in other regions of Japan?

Currently, the majority of our openings tend to be in and around the Tokyo area (Kanto). Occasionally, we will have opportunities in other regions. Please let us know your preferences and flexibility in this regard.

Why should I visit your Tokyo office?

We strongly encourage you to visit our office, if at all possible. We would like to establish a long-term relationship with you and the details of your career; past, present and future are best discussed in person. You can also meet additional team members of Talent Infusion, which can only further benefit your job search.

Will Talent Infusion assist me with obtaining a work visa in Japan?

Generally speaking, no, we are not able to do so. In rare circumstances it may be possible. Please keep in mind you must meet the criteria set forth by the Japanese government to qualify for a work visa in Japan.

What level of Japanese language ability is required?

For non-Japanese candidates, a high level of Japanese language proficiency (including reading/writing) is often required but there are exceptions. We will evaluate your language abilities carefully in order to introduce roles that are appropriate.

What level of English language ability should I have?

Some English fluency is desirable for the majority of positions, as our clients are gaishikei. The ability to simply read documents/email may be sufficient for many roles. Other positions require you to communicate regionally or with HQs overseas regularly and may seek completely bilingual candidates. Our evaluation of your language skills will ensure we introduce appropriate opportunities.

What are the costs involved to register with Talent Infusion?

This process is completely free of charge for candidates.

What benefits do you offer working staff?

We offer health, social insurance, pension and paid vacation, once you have worked the required amount of time.
